Often, yes. Adverse credit, including CCJs, isn't an automatic no. Specialist lenders price for credit risk and look at the case as a whole.
What lenders look at besides your credit file
- what has happened since the problem, including any recent management action
- how the business is trading now, and which way it's heading
- the security available
- how the facility is structured
What to expect
A weaker credit history usually means a higher rate, and some lenders won't consider it at all. That's why we work across a panel of more than 100 lenders: the same case can get a no from one lender and a yes from another.
Be upfront
Tell us about any CCJs, defaults or arrangements at the start. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and what kind of rate to expect.
Short trading history, a restructure, or declined elsewhere?
Send us the case anyway. Cases the high street won't touch are what our specialist panel is for. See My bank turned me down. Can you still help with a business growth loan?.
