Is it right for you?
Xero is a useful starting point when invoices, bank transactions and bookkeeping records have become scattered across several places. It brings the accounting work into a shared online system, so the owner and their accountant can work from the same information. That can make it easier to establish a regular routine instead of waiting until records have piled up.
We recommend considering it as the centre of your bookkeeping process, with the plan chosen around the work you need to do. Before moving, list your invoice volume, reporting needs and the people who will use the system. Ask your accountant which features matter for your business and which records should be brought across. A trial with a small set of real examples is more useful than browsing a long feature list.
It will still need accurate information and someone responsible for checking it. Bank connections and integrations can reduce repeated entry, but they do not remove the need to review transactions. If receipt collection is your only problem, a narrower tool may be enough. Check the current plan details and any connected services before committing to a move.
