No, bizbritain isn't the lender. We're a Start Up Loans Business Support Partner: we help you prepare your application and we assess it against the scheme's requirements. If it's approved, our finance partner runs its final checks, issues your loan agreement and provides the money.
Who does what
- The Start Up Loans Company runs the government-backed Start Up Loans scheme. It's part of the British Business Bank, which is owned by the UK government.
- bizbritain is a Business Support Partner for the scheme. Your advisor helps you build your plan, survival budget and forecast, then carries out the full assessment of your application.
- Our finance partner runs the final checks on approved applications, issues your loan agreement and pays out the loan. Your repayments go to them.

Your loan agreement is with our finance partner, who is named in the agreement. Their contact details are in it too.
How we're regulated
bizbritain is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority as a credit broker, firm reference number 727207.
Does this cost me anything?
No. Our help is free. We're paid a fee by the Start Up Loans Company for each successful loan we complete. See
