No. Briefing us about your deal, and getting an indicative structure back, doesn't involve a credit check and doesn't affect your credit score.
When a credit check can happen
When we take your case to lenders, they may run their own checks, including a hard search on you as the buyer. We'll always tell you which checks will happen, and when, before they happen.
Why your personal credit matters here
Acquisition lenders usually ask for a personal guarantee, so they look at your personal credit history as well as the business's. See Can I get acquisition finance with bad credit?.
Why we pre-qualify first
We work out which lenders are likely to fund your deal before anything is submitted, rather than sending it to many at once. That keeps unnecessary searches off your file.
