Why we recommend it

Capital on Tap is worth considering as a way to organise company card spending when the business is eligible and the product fits its repayment arrangements. Employee cards, virtual cards and expense tools can give an owner a more structured process for purchases made by different people. The useful question is how those tools would improve the way spending is authorised and recorded.

We would first map who needs a card, what they may buy and who reviews the transactions. Check how receipts and account information will reach the person responsible for the books. Clear internal rules matter even when a provider offers convenient controls. A card should fit an established process for approving purchases and meeting the resulting obligations.

This is not suitable for every business structure, and approval is not automatic. Sole traders are outside the eligibility described on the provider’s current UK page. Read the current product terms, including any personal guarantee and repayment responsibilities, before applying. Our reason to consider it is the organisation of business spending. If you only need a way to record expenses, review a dedicated expense or bookkeeping tool as well.
