Our advisory fee is a success fee charged on a marginal-rate scale, from 3% and falling as the facility grows, payable only on drawdown. You pay a retainer when you sign our engagement letter, at the indicative structure stage, and it's credited in full against the success fee at completion. Acquisitions also carry an abort fee in limited circumstances.

The success fee

Each rate applies only to the part of the facility within that band:

  • First £250,000: 3%
  • £250,000 to £500,000: 2.5%
  • £500,000 to £1 million: 2%
  • £1 million to £5 million: 1.5%
  • £5 million to £10 million: 1.25%

The retainer

Set by facility size and credited in full at completion: £500 up to £250,000, £1,500 up to £500,000, £2,500 up to £1 million, £3,500 up to £5 million, and £5,000 above that.

The abort fee

It applies only if a deal falls through after lenders have made credit-approved offers. It's proportionate and capped. See What is the abort fee, and when does it apply?.

Before you engage us

There's nothing to pay if you decide not to go ahead before signing an engagement letter.

Lender commission

On advisory transactions we accept no introducer commission, procuration fees or arrangement income from lenders. We're paid by you, not by lenders. Try your own figures with our fee calculator.
