Possibly. A Start Up Loan can help fund a second site, but only if your business has been trading for 60 months or less and you meet every other eligibility criterion.

What to check

  • How long you've been trading: the business must be within 60 months of starting.
  • Every other criterion: age, UK residence, right to work and the rest. See Start Up Loan eligibility: am I eligible?
  • Affordability: your current business must be able to support the extra repayments.

If you already have a Start Up Loan

If you're not eligible

Other routes can fund a second site, using your current trading as evidence. See How do I fund adding a franchise unit or territory?.

Remember

A Start Up Loan is personal: you repay it personally, whatever happens to either site.
